In this full day workshop, Claudia will guide you through the creative process of re-imagining ‘waste’ into beautiful pieces of sculptural art that you’ll get to display in your own outdoor spaces.
This workshop is a basic insight into the ancient art form of mosaic using contemporary methods by incorporating the use of recycled materials and brightly coloured ceramic tiles.
Participants will construct a sculptural mask out of recycled kitchen wares eg. Cake tins, jugs, saucepans cups and sauces, teapots and then cover with the art form of mosaics.
This workshop is suitable for ages 15+ and adults.
All materials, tools, safety equipment will be provided.
Tea & coffee will be provided.
BYO Snacks, Lunch & Water Bottle.
Please wear old clothes and covered in shoes.
If you have pieces of broken ceramics or old bits of jewellery that you would like to incorporate into your outdoor garden mask, please bring along.
Please Note: No grouting of the masks will be possible at the workshop. Claudia will grout all the masks created at the workshop for you at her studio in Brisbane (New Farm, where you can collect them the following week).
