Recycling Project - Primary Education Public Art Collaboration-Client- Townsville City Council
"Council partnered with Claudia to deliver a recycling education and art program to over 200 students from local schools. The program delivered recycling and reuse messages while working with students to create pieces of art constructed from discarded materials. Claudia was fundamental in ensuring the success of the program by actively engaging with students to create and learn. The program produced numerous sculptures and mosaics, some of which will be on permanent display in the new Townsville Recycling Education Hub. Participating students and teachers alike gained a real insight into recycling and reusing materials for new purposes"

Claudia's studio process explores the use of recycled materials and pushing the boundaries with these mediums. The use of traditional craft methodologies within her works and teachings helps to gives her audience a new prospective of creating with recyclables and its value as a medium, not just a waste item.
